Important Messages
- Thanks for contacting IT Live Chat. You're currently in a queue and one of our team members will be with you shortly. We appreciate your patience and will be with you as soon as possible.
- If you have a general, non-urgent query and don't need to speak directly with a technician, please consider logging a ticket on our Service Desk Portal. This can be accessed from all Trust computer desktops. Our team will respond promptly to assist you. Thank you.
- To maintain efficient support for all users, our technicians may close the chat if we do not receive a response within 4-5 minutes. This helps us manage the queue effectively, particularly during peak times (08:00-11:00 and 14:00-16:00).
If your chat session is closed, please start a new chat, and we will be happy to assist you further.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Thank you.
- Signing Out of PCs and Laptops
We would like to remind all users of the importance of signing out completely from your PC or laptop at the end of your session, rather than simply switching users. Failing to sign out can lead to security risks and slow performance issues including the following:
• Devices may experience slow performance issues due to multiple active sessions
• IT updates or system processes may not apply correctly
To ensure security and optimal performance, all users must sign out completely when they have finished using a PC or laptop.
Please follow the steps below to sign out properly:
1. Click the Start menu (Windows icon on the taskbar)
2. Select your profile icon (usually at the bottom of the Start menu)
3. Click Sign out
Alternative method:
1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard
2. Select Sign out from the options displayed
Managers are asked to ensure this message is shared with their teams and that all staff understand and follow this process.
- We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) tool, which will be available from Monday, 8th June 2026.
The SSPR tool allows you to securely reset the password used to sign in to your Trust PC or laptop, access your Trust email, and other Trust systems and applications. It also enables you to unlock your account if it becomes locked.
This service has been introduced to make managing your account easier, quicker, and more convenient, allowing you to regain access to your account without contacting the ICT Service Desk.
Important Action Required – User Enrolment
To use the SSPR tool, you will need to complete the enrolment process by registering your details. The enrolment user guide can be found here: https://sunrise-saas.com/tameside/web/SContacts/?ID=KBI000010
